NANDADEVI BIOSPHERE RESERVER TOURS - ECO trekking in Garhwal Himalayas

_________________________________

ECOTOERISME

wordt al jaren gewenst in dit gebied,

for pilgrimages to Badrinath temple or Hemkund Saheb,

trekkings to the lakes Hemkund, Satopan or Kakbhushundi,

to the glaciers Milam, Pinder, Kafani and Sunderdunga,

for climbing to the peaks Dronagiri, Changbang, Neelkant, Kamet, or Ratban...

One of the great initiative to promote eco-tourism has been the creation of the

NANDA DEVI BIOSFEER RESERVAAT (NDBR)

O.a. sneeuwluipaard en. zwarte beer, Musk Deer, Blue Sheep, Himalayan Thar, Serow, etc.

Monal pheasant, Koklas pheasant, Western tragopan,

Himalayan snow cock, Golden eagle, Steppe eagle and Bearded vulture.

  • Leave only footprints, take only memories.

  • Patronize tour operators who think "green".

  • Always use designated trails.

  • Forest conservation

  • Trees are meant to grow, use alternate fuel such as cooking gas, kerosene oil.
