Rafting in Rishikesh :: Alakhnanda River is another Major tributary of Holy Ganga, supposed to be one of the rivers come out from Kailash Mansrover in Tibet. This river is good for first time rafters. It is a good float trip for families with grade II to III + rapids down to Rishikesh. The trip starts from Rudraprayag, a small town on the Badrinath road, famous for the man-eating leopard shot down by Jim Corbett in 1932. Rudraprayag is also known as a holy place for Hindus who come here to have dip at the Ghat (confluence) of Mandankini River and Alkhnanda River to wash their sins. According to Hindu myth, all the places on Ganga are known as holy places where tributaries of Ganga meet in.
The entire rafting stretch is about 136 km from Rudraprayag down to Rishikesh. We raft down the river, stopping for night camping on unspoiled silver sand beaches, and visiting local villages on the riverside in the afternoon to see their culture and life style.

Option A. River Rafting in Rishikesh :: Overnight camp & Half Day Rafting from Brahmpuri to Rishikesh
Day 01.Afternoon arrive Rishkesh. Transfer to Ganga Nature Camp . After Welcome drink free time to explore the area. Evening tea. Proceed for a jungle trek to the water fall. Evening campfire ,BBQ and dinner . Overnight camp.
Day02. Morning Tea. use of rock climbing area. One can try Burma Bridge, river crossing, rappelling etc. After breakfast Start rafting from Camp down to Rishikesh. Today we hit some of the enjoyable rapids on the Ganga i.e. Initiation, Double Trouble, Hilton & Terminator. One can try body surfing and cliff jump on this section . In the later part we float past temples and ashrams and Ghats, enjoying the river bank life along the Ganga. Arrive Rishikesh. Tour terminates . One can drive to Delhi or board train for Delhi in the evening.

Option B. Rafting in Rishikesh :: Overnight camp & Full Day Rafting from Shivpuri to Rishikesh

After lunch we hit Initiation, Double Trouble, Hilton & Terminator. One can try body surfing and cliff jump on this section. In the later part we float past temples and ashrams and Ghats enjoying the river bank life along the Ganga. Arrive Rishikesh. Tour terminates . We hit Black money, Cross fire, Three Blind mice and good morning , Roller Coaster, Golf Course and Club House rapids. Lunch at Camp . After lunch we hit Initiation, Double Trouble, Hilton & Terminator. One can try cliff Jump and body Surfing on this section. In the later part we float past temples and ashrams and Ghats enjoying the river bank life along the Ganga. Arrive Rishikesh. Tour terminates . One can drive to Delhi or board train for Delhi in the evening.
